Sekolah tinggi Informatika dan Komputer Indonesia (STIKI) Malang held a two-day international workshop on “STEM Powertech in Creativity” presented by Chi-Ruei Tsai, Ph.D as Taiwan Creativity Association  from National Taiwan Normal University on October 15-17, 2018.

STEM is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines  science, technology, engineering and mathematics in an interdisciplinary and applied approach. Rather than teaching the four disciplines as separate and discrete subjects, STEM integrates them into a cohesive learning paradigm based on real-world applications.

The participants of this seminar were students and teachers of Senior High Schools in Malang. They learned about making a simple micro robotics. Chi-Ruei Tsai, Ph.D  said “After learning on this workshop, I hope there will be a lot of students will join STEM Competition in Taiwan on December. They will learn to make animal movements robot”

Some robots were made in the workshop. On the first day, the participants learned to make Walking Robot and Crawling Larva Robot. Then, the participants learned to make Dragon Bus Robot in the morning and also robot competition in the afternoon on the second day. Some robots were made in the workshop.
